"The Art of Brotherly Love" is a documentary
that follows contemporary artist and storyteller
Rah Crawford as he uncovers a powerful, untold chapter of American history: the Ganges Incident—the 1800 rescue of 135 enslaved Africans by the USS Ganges in Philadelphia.

What begins as a research thread evolves into "Gangee – A Love Story", Crawford’s original screenplay that reimagines the humanity, resistance, and romanticism buried within this real event. His artistic vision becomes the driving force behind Project Gangee, a multifaceted cultural initiative designed to honor this moment in history through art, storytelling, and engagement.

a young couple’s unbreakable love overcomes the greatest of obstacles.
